APA student Success Center formed at San Francisco

San Francisco's City College launched a first-of-its-kind APA Student Success Center designed to work with students "at risk" of dropping out of the educational system. There will be one full-time and two part-time counselors, several tutors and a full-time director. Forty percent of CCSF students on academic or progress probation are APA, according to Nicholas Chang, dean of matriculation. APASS will provide API students with additional bilingual and bicultural counselors, instructors, and tutors as well as more courses and programs devoted to ancestral homelands, culture and politics," said Lawrence Wong, president of the board of trustees.
