The Chinese American International School in San Francisco will receive $25,000 from the Goldman Sachs Foundation for Excellence in International Education. The school's bi-lingual and bi-cultural immersion program serves as a role model for other schools, said Stephanie Bell-Rose, the foundation's president. The school, one of six winners nationwide, was selected from 400 applicants. Founded in 1981, the school has 360 students enrolled, from pre- kindergarten to eighth grade.
