Chinatown in L.A. has over 60-year long history. But the history of Chinatown area is over 100 years. Today the L.A. Chinatown is delimited by Spring, Yale, Bernard, and Cesar Chavez streets. Chinese restaurants and shops are found on streets branching off Gin Ling Way, known as the "Street of the Golden Palace." It is developed at the base of Old Chinatown. One easy access is by downtown Dash Minibus B from downtown LA. Actually the area has been expanded with the current development. Today some 14,000 people, mostly Asian, live in this community.
